UNT Lyric Opera Project

A multi-year project involving 48 of the world's greatest operas interpreted in stained glass, and installed in the Lyric Opera Theater at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.  Patrons of the University's College of Music Opera Department sponsor a scholarship; and in doing so, they choose which opera to be interpreted in stained glass.  These panels are then installed in the Lyric Theater as light sources.

Dimensions: each panel is 17 1/2" wide x 8" high

Date: 2004 - ongoing

Construction: Copper foil technique framed in 1/8" U channel zinc.  Most panels also feature glass painting & firing in a kiln.

Installation: Each panel is mounted through the central hole onto a screw & cap mounting system.

There are two thin long horizontal lights on either side of the center mount.
